Coco Et Co & A Great Charity

The X-mas rush is on and amongst all the; long lines, shopping stress, and Rum and Eggnog, we should take time to remember that this time of year is also a great time to give back to our communities.  Halifax musician/Fredericton native/nicest guy ever David Myles,  recently completed the “sing for supper tour”.  Myles and trusty side-kick Alan Jeffries zipped around Atlantic Canada earlier this month playing free shows and accepting donation for local food banks.  When they were finished the drive had raised $3699.97 and 564 pounds of food.  Great work fellas!

Continuing in much the same giving spirit, Andrew Sisk of Share & currently Coco et Co has a great new track up loaded to their Band Camp site.  You can purchase the song “Young Nation” for donation $1 (or what you’re willing to part with up an above) Making it even better is that fact that 1/2 of the proceed are going to a great charity called Free The Children.

Coco et Co had this to say regarding the Free The Children:

Through leadership training at home and community development projects abroad, empowers youth everywhere to make a difference.” Coco et Co. were inspired by the positive differences Free the Children make in the world and decided to release a song that could contribute to their organization. We believe that everyone can make a difference. Every little bit helps, so this is something we thought that would raise awareness and help others, which this time of year is really about.
